What We Believe
We believe in the Triune God; Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We believe that God’s Son, Jesus Christ, died on the cross and rose again for our salvation.
We believe that God offers forgiveness of sins and eternal life to all who believe in Christ.
We believe that the Holy Spirit gives and strengthens faith through the Word of God and the Sacraments of Baptism and Holy Communion. This is a joyous faith that offers strength, courage, and hope to all people.
We believe that Christians express their faith in a life of regular worship, prayer, Bible study, service, and fellowship.
If you have any questions, you are invited to talk with Pastor Bredeson or any church member to learn more about the hope and peace we have in Christ.
Sunday Worship
Our Sunday Worship Service starts at 10:15 am.
Holy Communion is offered each service.
Children are welcome at and encouraged to attend our services. Should you feel the need, you are invited to use our nursery (in the multi-purpose room, next to the kitchen) or sit/walk around in our entryway.
Nursing mothers and mothers of infants are also invited to use the nursery if they should so choose for their own comfort or privacy.
Lutheran Christians have a rich history of song and active participation in their worship. If you aren’t familiar with our order of worship (liturgy), please feel comfortable and welcome to simply sit and enjoy our friendship and prayers.
Traditional services follow an order of worship from the Lutheran Service Book. A bulletin is given to each person as they arrive that contains all the songs, Bible readings, and the like that will be used in the service. Any of us are glad to answer questions you may have about our worship and our family at Trinity Lutheran.
Visitors should in no way feel obligated to contribute during our offerings; offerings are collected as a way for our confirmed members to join in supporting the ministry.
If you haven’t taken Holy Communion with us before, please read our statement of belief about this Sacrament and talk with the Pastor or one of our Elders before partaking. We offer both individual cups with either red wine or white grape juice (innermost circle of trays) and a common wine cup. If you would like a gluten-free wafer, please talk to the pastor or an elder before the service.
FELLOWSHIP
Fellowship is one of the joys of the Christian life. At Trinity we fellowship through worship, studying God’s Word together, and by a variety of events such as game nights and pot lucks (if you don’t know at least one joke about Lutherans and pot lucks, you just aren’t trying).
Trinity offers a variety of groups that meet to study the Bible and support each other through joys and challenges as we all seek to follow Jesus together.
Sunday School and Adult Bible Study
Sunday School is from 9:00 to 10:00 am, using classrooms in our multi-purpose room. Classes are led by members of the church and are intended for children of all ages. This is a time for the children in our congregation to learn about God, the story of His people, and how we are a part of that story because of Jesus. Materials are always provided.
Adult Bible Study is generally led by Pastor Bredeson and takes place before worship service in the multi-purpose room, from 9:00 to 10:00 am. This is a time to explore the riches of God’s Word and learn from each other as we grow in faith and knowledge. Feel free to bring your own Bibles or to use one of the church’s copies.
Tuesday Evening Bible Study
Much of the year we also have an evening Bible Study led by Pastor Bredeson. We meet weekly, Tuesday 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm, over the Internet using the Zoom meeting application and at the church.

TRINITY LUTHERAN AND SACRAMENTO
The members of Trinity Lutheran Church are active in the community, and we strive to serve our neighbors with a helpful hand along with a hand simply offered in friendship.
As Christians we believe in the power of prayer. We continually include the safety and health of our neighbors and community in our prayers.
We act on our faith in support of our prayers. We may be able to help with a ride, hot meal, or a listening ear. Many of our activities are intended as a “no pressure” and “no committment” way of quietly helping our neighbors.
We aren’t professional counselors, but we do listen well without judging. If you are struggling with a difficult issue or have questions about “how God works,” please, please contact Pastor Bredeson in the Church Office for a confidential and private meeting. If we can’t help, we will try to place you in contact with the proper resources.
Prayer Chain
Trinity Lutheran Church invites you to use our prayer chain. The prayer chain consists of a group of church members who will pray for you and your family in time of crisis or need. Your requests are taken in all seriousness and kept in strictest confidence; shared outside the chain only with your direction and permission, or in response to legal requirements.

SERVING AT TRINITY
The success of ministry and outreach at Trinity is the direct result of the application of the gifts of time and talent of all our members. Each person serves as they are led and are able, some a great deal, others focused on a single task, and all to God’s glory and in His service.
A ”work in progress,” these pages will describe opportunities for service and ministry at Trinity Lutheran Church.
Any involvement in a committee or church leadership is completely voluntary and we encourage everyone to prayerfully consider a role and discuss it with the person or people they would be working with before accepting any task.
Programs at Trinity are managed by an assortment of committees supervised by members of the congregation. Each committee is supported by the congregation’s officers. And all volunteers seek to serve the community and congregation by keeping our Mission, anchored by the Bible, always in the front of our activities.
How we help at church is only one piece of the service we, as Christians, are called to do in our community, and many of our members are active in community affairs, ministries, and outreach programs unrelated to Trinity Lutheran Church.
TRINITY SUPPORTS OUR GUARD AND RESERVE
Trinity Lutheran Church actively supports the members of our country’s armed forces, those that have served in the past as well as those currently serving. We are privileged to have a Pastor who recently retired from service as a Chaplain with the Air Force Reserve, and we encouraged his participation in this important ministry.
