To our Members and Guests
As Lutherans, we believe that Holy Communion is God’s special meal for His people. Those who come to the Lord’s Table should be baptized and properly instructed Christians who acknowledge their personal sinfulness and believe that their sins are forgiven through the Lord Jesus Christ, having faith in the words “Given and shed for you for the remission of sins.”
They must “discern the Lord’s body” (1 Cor 11:29), believing that Christ’s true body and blood are actually present in the sacrament – in, with and under the bread and wine.
Worthy communicants must be able to examine themselves and have the intention of amending their sinful lives.
We ask those who are in any doubt about the above statement to consult with the pastor before communing.
