Lent is the season of the church year we take time to reflect on our frailties and anticipate celebration of Easter. On that day, over two thousand years ago, Jesus, the Christ, rose following his unjust death, having not only paid off our frailties in full, but having conquered the sting of death itself for everyone for all time.
The Trinity family shares a simple "soup supper" meal each Wednesday of Lent in the Fellowship Hall. Church members volunteer their time and cooking skills each week so we can sit, eat, and take time to relax and share some time together. A free-will offering is welcome but by no means required -- meals are a gift from those preparing them. Meals start at 6pm, bring a good appetite, all else is provided.
Following the meal, at 7pm we meet in the Sanctuary for worship. Pastor Bredeson leads a simple service with hymns, scripture readings, and a sermon highlighting some aspect of Lent. Worship typically concludes before 8pm.
We encourage all who may be interested in learning more about Trinity, the Lutheran expression of the Christian faith, are new to the area, or simply would like a good meal, to join us. We are simple folk and listen well.
Come on down on Wednesdays from February 18th through March 25th. If you have any questions, please contact the church office.
